Batman Meets Architecture
"Batman: Death By Design" is a graphic novel by author-artists Chip Kidd and Dave Taylor. Their Batman is a throwback to the 1930s look of this superhero - from his jaws to his trunks to the way he spreads his bat wings, even right down to how his name is spelled ("Bat-man"). The brilliant sketches of Gotham City's architecture are weaved into the story as well. While the storyline has had its share of mixed reviews (and I haven't read it so I really can't share anything more), their stunning artwork alone make this worth the three-year wait.
