Google London Headquarters

Designed by Penson, Google's London HQ is located at the heart of Covent Garden. While the design is decidedly more "grown up" than the other Google offices, it still boasts of a massage parlor, dance studio, gym - all de rigueur for Google. It's still a wonder how any work gets done. If I work at an office as nice as this one, I wouldn't hesitate to come in on weekends :)

Unique Starbucks Store

This Starbucks drive-thru coffee shop in Tukwila, Washington is built entirely out of recycled shipping containers! Designed by their in-house architects, this coffee shop signifies Starbucks jump into the green bandwagon. I hope this serves as a prototype for future retail locations.

Constructed on a triangular land between a road and a river, the geometric layout of the house makes efficient use of whatever land is available.

Raf Simons' Home in Belgium

Notoriously private designer Raf Simons (of Jil Sander and Raf Simons) recently opened his Antwerp home to the Wall Street Journal. Designed in 1968 by a Belgian couple, the two-story apartment is a testament to mid-century Modernism with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows, floating staircase and 50s furniture.

Colonnade Condominiums in Singapore

Located in 82 Grange Road, Singapore, it was designed by American architect Paul Rudolph in 1980.

Rudolph paid particular attention to the tropical climate of Singapore in designing this 8-storey building, as evidenced by the combination of wide overhangs, sunshading devices and balconies.
